With my subscription service, you avoid any initial hiring costs of a full-time employee. I don’t require pay raises, sick time, paid vacation, or even benefits. And after 30+ years in the design industry, I need very little “hand-holding”. Once subscribed, I start working on your project list from day one.

Plus, with the ability to pause and resume your subscription as needed, you only pay for the time I’m working on your project.

Depending on the nature of the work you need and your budget, hiring someone from freelance platforms might be a viable option. However, remember that “you get what you pay for,” and lower prices don’t always ensure top-quality work, experienced professionals, or efficient service.

Using freelancing platforms has its challenges. Most designers are in different countries, leading to issues like time zone differences and language barriers. Additionally, these platforms often limit the number of revisions and requests you can make.

On the other hand, I’m based in Southern California, speak English, and offer unlimited revisions and requests until you’re delighted with your project. This ensures you get the best possible service from an experienced professional.

If you’re unfamiliar with the concept of the iron triangle, it illustrates the relationship between Fast, Good, and Cheap—you can only choose two.

• I’m Fast… most projects have a 2-3 day turnaround time
• I’m Good… with 30+ years of experience, quality just comes with the territory
• I’m Cheap… OK, while $999 per month isn’t necessarily “cheap,” it’s a downright bargain when compared to the cost of hiring someone with my skills and experience full-time.

So, maybe you can have your cake and eat it too!

After every design project. Since you’re hiring me, please request any design project you need. If it’s within my capabilities, I’ll make it happen.

Please note, that just because these items aren’t included in your subscription, it doesn’t mean you can’t request them. Over the years, I have built relationships with multiple experts in these fields. For an additional fee, I can procure their services and have these requests fulfilled for you.

This depends greatly on the project. In general, most designs are completed in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. 

If your project requires printing, then high-resolution PDF files will also be provided so you can hand them off to your printer of choice. Alternatively, I have built strong relationships with several reliable printers over the years and can facilitate the printing of your projects if you wish.

Please note that printing costs are not included in your subscription plan.

Short answer… no.

But let me ask you this, why do you need me to be on-site?

• Is it so you can talk to me when you need to? Your client portal allows you to message me whenever you have questions.
• Is it so you can see I’m working on your projects? Your client portal shows full transparency on what is going on with your project. You can see exactly the stage it is in and updates come every couple of days.
• Something else? Let me know what it is and I can work something out with you.

I appreciate that a traditional employee is the norm and what’s comfortable for most people. However, times have changed and more and more businesses are allowing their employees to work remote.

The whole point of Pixel Shark is to free businesses of having on-site designers. The moment you require “on-site” work, you now have to deal with everything that comes with an employee (salary, benefits, insurance, vacation, etc). 

However, if that doesn’t work for you, I completely understand. This service isn’t for everybody and wish you the best of luck in your search for a traditional employee.

If all your questions have been answered and you’re ready to proceed, simply subscribe to a plan. After subscribing, you will receive a welcome email with all the necessary information within 24 hours. Once you can log in to Orchestra, you can start requesting projects immediately.

Nope. Unlimited projects truly means unlimited projects. You can have as many projects in your Project Backlog as you wish, but I can only work on one project at a time.

You are in control of everything regarding your project pipeline. You or your team dictate what I work on at any given time. If I’m in the middle of a new logo for your company and you need an emergency price sheet for a potential client, simply login to your dashboard, move the logo out of production, and move the price sheet into the current project instead.

The takeaway is that you have full control of your projects at all times, the same as you would with an in-house employee.

Typically, most requests are delivered within 2-3 days. However, more complex projects may take longer. For these extended projects, you will receive updates or partial deliverables every couple of days to keep you informed of the progress.

I understand that you might not have enough design work to fill an entire month. Maybe you only have one or two design requests right now. This is where pausing your subscription can be useful.

Billing cycles are either weekly or monthly, based on your chosen plan. If you sign up and use the service for 20 days before running out of projects, you can pause your subscription. This will stop the billing cycle, leaving you with about 10 days of service to use later.

When a new project arises, just resume your subscription and update your project dashboard.

After subscribing, you’ll receive an invite to a program called Orchestra. It’s a simple Kanban project management tool, much like Trello. Here, you can manage your entire account, including all projects, communication, and pausing or resuming your subscription.

No worries! I’ll continue to revise the design until you’re 100% satisfied.

That’s perfectly fine. You have several options here:

1. You can subscribe to the Weekly Grow Plan. Since most projects are completed in 2-3 days, you can pause your subscription once your project is done. Depending on your next project, you may have enough time left to add another project.
2. If you expect to have multiple projects, consider subscribing to the Monthly Pro Plan. I’ll work on your project, and once it’s finished, you can pause your subscription. When you need more design work, just resume your subscription and use the remaining time.
3. If you truly only have a single project on the horizon, please contact me at erik@pixelshark.co for a one-off project quote. 

All designs produced during your subscription are owned by you.  When completed, you will be given full access to all final, working, and asset files used in the final design.

However, please note I do retain the right to showcase any designs created for self-promotion, in perpetuity.

While ambitious enough to try and please everyone, I am smart enough to know that’s simply not possible. Because of the high-quality and detailed nature of my work, along with the urgency and priority given to your projects, I cannot offer refunds. My time and expertise are precious, and I aim to deliver exceptional results that meet your specific needs.

This is why I don’t engage in long-term contracts or commitments. My subscriptions are intentionally designed to be short-term. You have full control over managing your subscription, so if you are not satisfied, simply cancel it. No hard feelings.
